Please join us for a philanthropic project to make a difference for our men and women who serve in the military. From 2 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, at the Red Mountain Library, we’ll be creating handmade greeting cards and signing them to donate to the Holiday Cards for Our Military Challenge (https://militaryholidaycardchallenge.com). This organization collects and delivers personalized, signed expressions of respect, caring, and gratitude to deployed U.S. troops, veterans, and military families.
We’ll have all of the supplies on hand. We just need your help to not only make some quick and easy holiday cards, but personalize them with a handwritten message.
Find us at the Red Mountain Library Branch, 635 N. Power Road, in the Roadrunner Room. Walk in the main entrance of the library, go straight in. Continue straight (a little to the left) walking into and through the "hallway area" behind the checkout desks, next to the children's section. Go straight back through some of the book stacks, to the back (south) wall. Turn left (east). You’ll see some seating areas. Continue walking east and you will see the Roadrunner room on the right (south wall) side.
This event is free and open to the public. You’re welcome to bring your own beverage. We’ll have some snacks on hand, too.
We’d love to have you join us and bring a friend! Please let me know if you can come so I can be sure to have plenty of supplies on hand. We have seating for 20 people.
