April 2024 Newsletter

It’s hard to believe I’ve been in Hawaii a month!  Time surely does fly quickly!  Tom’s so happy that he doesn’t have to snowblow the driveway anymore this season!  I wanted to get this Newsletter out because several things are going on and you should be informed!

I think the most important is Stampin’ Up! has issued its retirement list for the Annual and Winter Mini Catalogs.  There are quite a few items that have been discounted pretty heavily:  Core Colors 12 x 12 cardstock, markers and dies.  If you don’t want to purchase the ink pads, the markers do a great job on your stamps.

Retirement Sale for Annual Catalog and Spring Mini Catalog. The January–April 2024 Spring Mini Catalog  Mini Catalog Retirement Link and the 2023–2024 Annual Catalog 2023-2024 Catalog Retirement List are retiring soon!  It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to any catalog, but we’re looking forward to all the new products on their way—and we hope you are, too! From 9–30 April, you can stock up on your favorite products and save up to 60% on essential craft supplies!  So, what are you waiting for?  Start shopping!  After all, a selection of Last Chance Products will only be available while supplies last.  Sale starts April 9^th at 12:01am MT, which is April 8^th, 11:01pm Reno time or April 8^th, 8:01pm Hawaii time.  So if you really want to be sure to get you get what you want, get on line tonight April 8^th and don’t wait until April 9^th in the morning.  Products could be gone by then!

Annual 2023-and Spring Mini (January-April 2024) is retiring on April 30^th.  The new 2024-2025 will be available May 1^st.  I’ve mailed out new catalogs to those who’ve made purchases in the past year.  If you don’t received your catalog by April 30^th, please let me know and I’ll get a catalog to you; otherwise, the new catalog will be available online.   Prices have gone up on many items; therefore, you may want to place an order before April 30^th.  For example:

• 8 ½ x 11 cardstock is currently $10 for 24 shts ($0.417 per sheet).  It will now be $11.50 for 20 shts ($0.575),
• Ink pad refills are going up $0.50, and
• Blends (light and dark) 2 to a pack will be $10, up a $1.

No longer available items:

• Clear blocks A, G & I
• Clear block storage box
• Vellum

And don’t forget there are two types of Bundles being retired.  One because a stamp set and it’s dies/punch are retiring.  The other because a Bundle was available for the first year’s release of a new stamp set, etc.   Thus if you want to save 10%, you’ll need to purchase a Bundle before April 30^th.

4. The new Winter Mini catalog will be available in September.
5. Close To My Heart is closing business as of June 30^th, 2024.  The owner is having health issues.  She contacted Stampin’ Up! to see if SU was interested in her business.  As of today, they’ve come to an agreement for Stampin’ Up! to purchase some of her patents.  I’m happy to report SU purchased the patents for 12 x 12 D ring albums, page protectors and flip flops.  I’m not sure what other products will be coming over to SU.  But, I’m overjoyed Stampin’ Up! will have an expanded scrapbook product line!!  SU has also invited CTMH makers to become demonstrators.  This is so exciting as they bring much wisdom and needed resources to SU!

Since I’m in Hawaii, I haven't had any classes.  I did try to have one here in April, but, I just wasn't able to fit it in.  Hopefully I’ll have a class is early May!

I will be having a Scrapbooking Club Virtual Class this month and ending on April 24th.
